The MomsTEAM Institute of Youth Sports Safety, Inc. is a child sports safety advocacy, education and watchdog organization based in Massachusetts. It was founded as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 1999 by Brooke de Lench, an American author, filmmaker, and journalist. The MomsTEAM Institute is notable for being selected in the U.S., to implement the International Safeguards for Children in Sport coordinated by UNICEF UK.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=International Safeguards for Children in Sport )〕 The institute won the joint National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) Mind Matters Challenge in July 2015. ==Mission== The MomsTEAM Institute provides parents, coaches, administrators, and other youth sports stakeholders with comprehensive education, practical information, best practices and resources to keep all children safe physically, psychologically, and sexually during sports practice. The institute helps stakeholders put in place appropriate measures to prevent the risks in youth sports. In 2014, the institute organized the “SmartTeams Play Safe” summit at Harvard Medical School.
